I don't get it. When did Bambi figure out the Great Prince was his father?

During the scene where all the animals were arriving at the little island in the middle of the lake while their home was burning, a raccoon pops out of nowhere; a raccoon mama was putting down her kiddies after the swim, and a third baby just goes POP! into existence. It was funny.
