Hair-tie

Since when did it become hair-tie? I'm still used to calling it rubber-band or hair-band. o_o
But that's so straight forward, lol. It's for tying up your hair so it's called a hair-tie.
But hair-band is pretty nifty too. It's like a rubberband for your hair--hair-band!
Why am I talking about this?

The other day, I gave my brother a hair-band to tie up his hair with. Hehe, it's that long!
It'd be pretty funny if he actually kept tying his hair. It's like "WE HAVE THE SAME HAIRSTYLE!!!" Rofl.
