Q: During WWI, how many Americans were onboard the Lusitania?
A: Not enough to make America care.
I know that it's actually 128, but that answer works too!

Of course, it does depend on the interest rate. CDs are nice. And I would advise a stock or a mutual fund instead, assuming that he's all right with risk. Hell, even a bond would offer a better rate of return. Though yeah, the inflation would probably me more than the interest rate for his bank account.
America actually did care about the Lusitania, because in case you haven't noticed, the US went psycho. And morale was high for, like, the first five days. xD Of course, the important part is "did".
Sorry, that's only one out of three right. And only because I'm being generous and not quibbling over the pencil thing. Pens also work. So do fingers.
(In case you haven't figured, I'm teasing. ;) )
