I need a Post-it note pinned onto my head that says, "DON'T LEAVE THE KEYS IN THE LOCK." How many times has this happened now? Good thing nothing bad happened yet... 'l|Orz
If they're your personal keys, you could attach them to something and not take them off when you use it. For instance, I have mine attached to the inside of my backpack, and while it's a pain getting the backpack high enough to insert the keys into the keyhole, I haven't had any trouble yet.

@Jenny I did attach them to something. It's a kinky little pink bracelet thing. Except the problem is that I take off the bracelet when unlocking the door...
