Caroling

Oshougatsu ni ha mari tsuite

We went caroling today in Japanese.
1. Why is it so embarrassing to hear yourself singing?
2. Why does memory fail when you're nervous?

So we got better and better, but no matter how many times we tried, we couldn't get the hang of the third lines of either stanzas, heh.

I figured that I've to blog more to improve my writing skills. I have been complimented for my skills, but I still suck... My strength is the lighthearted, story-telling tone and my weaknesses are conciseness and tenses. So I should write more to practice, yeah? Yeah.

There are so many wonderful extras for seniors in the yearbook. From fancier pictures to dedicated pages, there is no way a senior does not have at least 2 pages to their name in the index. The only free feature besides luck that your photograph is taken is the senior quote. Senior quotes appear next to your super fancy picture and really says a lot about who you are as you graduate...
For example, there's a girl who is in all these fantastic high-level courses, plays multiple instruments, can draw/design really well, voted by Senior class to be most talented. etc, etc. Her quote is "It's fun to do the impossible"--Walt Disney.

Originally, mines was to be "Oh God"--Gandhi, but it turns out he said "He Ram", which translates to mean the same thing but doesn't have the colloquial touch of English, so I changed it. I tried my own phrase, "Who do you inspire?" I like it. It stresses what is important to me in four words.
...But it didn't have an effect on people.
Hmm... I decided that if I was going for effect, then I should quote someone infamous. So I searched up quotes from my favorite villain, Stalin.

"Die, but do not retreat"

Powerful, much? I'll leave you with that.
